The AI audiobook that stops and asks you what happens next

Tohil is a Light RPG System you play with your ears. There are hit points, items, conditions and weather, but no dice and no manual: you plant a Seed (the world), and the narrator does the rest out loud, one choice at a time.
How it works
A guided wizard walks you through the first one. The rest happens as you play.
Toh, the guide, asks a handful of questions and builds it around your answers. Or bring a world you wrote somewhere else and play it straight away.
The narrator writes the scene, reads it aloud, and hands you three choices. What you pick bends the next one, and the one after that.
Runs are finite and shaped. A finished story seals into a record you can keep, revisit, or grow a sequel from.
Eyes off
Every turn is narrated aloud, through your browser's own voice or the richer Kokoro voices. Put the phone down, let the narration carry, and answer when the story turns to you.
That is the part most reading apps cannot do and most AI story apps never tried. A story fits into a commute, a walk, the washing up, or the dark before sleep. Part audiobook, part game, entirely yours.
What you get
Build one with the guided wizard, or import a world written anywhere else. Fantasy, noir, sci-fi, quiet drama, all of it.
Health, inventory, weather, time of day, who is standing where, and every open thread are carried turn to turn. What you did an hour ago still shapes what happens next.
Step out of the story whenever you like. Ask the GM to bend a rule, repair your inventory, steer the next turn, or change whose eyes you see through.
Rewind to any past turn and split a fresh path from it, with the original run left intact. When a story ends, plant a sequel that remembers all of it.
The philosophy
Most AI stories quietly steer you back to the plot they wanted. Tohil does the opposite. When you decide something, it happens. The engine tracks the consequences and lets them land, comfortable or not, and never second-guesses what you asked for.
The only lines it holds are the ones that keep fiction from becoming harm. Inside those lines the world is genuinely open: go off-script, break the quest, walk the other way. The story follows you, not the other way around.
Where you stand
The full detail is in the privacy policy, and the common questions (including which AI writes the prose, and where your text goes) are answered on the questions page.
One world, twenty-five turns, read to you the whole way. It takes a couple of minutes to start.
